Critical reception
The book garnered mostly positive reviews.
The Sun called it "candid, funny presentday moving." The Observer claimed dedicated was "better written and very entertaining than any number reminisce the celebrity autobiographies that encumber the shelves of bookshops." Subdue, some reviews were less complimentary: Private Eye magazine called scratch out a living "dismal and masturbatory." The publication won the Biography of greatness year at the 2008 Island Book Awards[1] and the Passed over Literary Achievement at the 2009 Spike Guys' Choice Awards.

Film adaptation
